Within Mars we always have opportunities in one of our supply chain teams for a graduate student who wants to write his/her thesis 

• The Market Logistics team of Mars in the Netherlands is responsible for the efficient logistics and the best customer service of both pet food and chocolate for our Dutch - and from 2021 also international travel retail customers. Do you want to help us make our supply chain more efficient and future proof? 

• On the supply side of our business the VEG factory logistics team ensures Data quality, and efficient Inbound and Outbound flows. The planning of Inbound raw material and packaging ensure our factory can run 24-7, whereas the HUB outbound team manages truck and container loads to over 100 countries across the globe. Our data management officers are ensuring our quality master data for our systems.

Within one of these teams we always have the opportunity for you to  optimize our processes and performance!

Together we will find a suitable topic for you to investigate 

Your mission:

• Mapping the inefficiencies in the current supply chain (e.g. optimizing order patterns)

• Designing an efficient supply chain for the future based on input from external trends and internal insights

• Define implementation roadmap to arrive at the above

Your Profile:

• Student at hbo or wo, focused on Supply Chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering & Management Science

• Someone who is motivated, representative and energetic

• A good command of the Dutch and English language

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Power BI is an advantage

• Experience in a similar internship or in the FMCG industry is an advantage

• Available for at least 6 months, for a minimum of 4 days a week
